This series of drawings is entitled, "Mothers of Mushroomville." The content is mothers moving their adolescent daughters to a place called Mushroomville during their transformation from girls to women. In Mushroomville, living outdoors and unhampered by housework, the mothers teach their daughters the basics of survival by using the natural world as guide and inspiration. The mushroom is the mothers' greatest tool for teaching their daughters about the duplicitous quality of reality, what is edible and what is poisonous to body and soul.
